Andy Rourke and Mike Joyce are taking over every Tuesday night in December (starting tomorrow) at the Beauty Bar. It’s almost like a reunion! To top it off.. they’ll be 2 fer 1 SJ drinks after 10pm.

What could make this night any better? A bunch of upset Morrisey freaks when these guys play nothing but 60’s garage and not one Smiths song. Well I can dream… right?

Eagles Of Death Metal have been buddies of ours for a few years now. They’ve got a new record “Heart On” out that they’re touring behind so when they were coming through our neck of the woods on their current US Tour we asked them to stop by the SJ HQ in Philly to grab some clothes and play a song or two. This was the band’s ONLY Philly date and wasn’t announced to the public… It was amazing to see a tour bus clogging the tiny artery of 13th Street.

After the band grabbed gear and Jesse doused himself in an ungodly amount of SJ aftershave (This isn’t a plug… I couldn’t believe my eyes!), the band set up a minimal amount of equipment and tour through a set of pure rock n’ roll.
