When Khan and Mark roll into town… you know there’s gonna be a party!
While the two have been here a few times recently in different forms (Solo, with the Shrines, Etc), KK & BBQ Show proper haven’t played Philly in quite sometime. And, in the amount of time they’ve been absent from our sad little world, they’ve recorded and released their 3rd Full-Length, ‘Invisible Girl’ (out now/soon on In The Red).
The new album is a BEHEMOTH! Check out the title-track below to get a quick idea of what these guys have in store for you.
Due to ‘Phillies Phever’ the show got moved to Kung Fu Necktie… which I think will be more fun!

Pretty Things are a favourite of mine, and it always boggles the mind that they never achieved the same level of recognition as some of their contemporaries.
The clip below captures the mid-60’s Things laying down a slice of heavy, white-boy R&B that rivals anything you could put in front of it. And that BASS TONE… EXPLETIVE! EXPLETIVE! EXPLETIVE!
